COSMOPen is a state-of-the-art medical grade high speed microneedling System. It offers the same results as a fractional laser without pain, downtime, expense, and thermal damage. COSMOPen can be used to treat acne and surgical scars—including keloids—as well as wrinkles, stretch marks, pore size, and signs of aging. Additionally, by vertically piercing the skin, COSMOPen helps naturally induce collagen production and treat pigmentation. * Medical Professionals Only COSMOPen uses an exclusive disposable 12-pin needle-head, which allows to control the depth of penetration (0,25 – 2,50 mm) and speed of the needles, up to 110 cycles/second, resulting in almost 1300 microchannels per second, that’s 20% faster than most first generation devices! * Medical Professionals OnlyIntroducing the COSMOPen

Also called Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
MicroNeedling, also called Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is an aesthetic medical procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (microneedling the skin) in order to induce endogenous production of cutaneous collagen.
Percutaneous collagen induction ( PCI ) therapy or medical microneedling is a technique where a fractional microneedling device with fine microneedles has been shown to increase the remolding of the skin by creating thousands of microscopic channels through the skin, to increase the formation of new tissue by activating the body’s wound healing cascade (hemostasis-inflammation-proliferation-tissue remodeling). It is also referred to as a non-ablative skin treatment. This means that the deeper parts of the skin are treated without removing the top layer of skin. It is designed to treat various skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, light scarring from acne and photo damage, and to improve skin color and other skin texture changes.
COSMOPen microneedling is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). The idea behind CIT is similar to that of many other non-surgical skin-tightening procedures in that it aims to create a controlled Non-Thermal injury underneath the skin’s surface, thereby inducing the body to respond through the formation of new tissue layers of elastin- and collagen fibers (neo-collagenesis) as well as new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis) in the treated area. The skin plumps and thickens in response to this stimulus, ultimately reducing the appearance of scars, and fine lines and other skin texture changes. Whenever we can generate openings in the skin we have an opportunity for topical to penetrate more readily through the channels created.

What makes CosmoPen the best device on the market?
When designing the CosmoPen, we CHOSE to make a corded device because of the following points:
The amount of energy available is directly related to the State of Charge of the battery. A battery that is 100% charged will significantly outperform a battery that is 60% charged. It is crucial for your device to be performing consistently at the selected speed during the entire MicroNeedling procedure.
2019 update: Technologies around batteries have evolved a lot since this argument was first made. We can now control the consistency of power delivery from a battery, however, that technology is still very expensive and is currently not found in, to our knowledge, any wireless microneedling device as of yet. For example, that technology is found in electric vehicles, which cost tens of thousands of dollars.
A cordless device may look attractive at first but as the battery gets weak and can no longer hold the charge over time practitioners find themselves having to buy replacement batteries or even new devices altogether.

COSMOPen can be used on all skin types and is a valuable tool to treat a variety of skin concerns such as: facial rejuvenation, scarring (acne, surgical), stretch marks, pigmentation disorders and alopecia.
In most cases, a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin prior to COSMOPen treatment to reduce discomfort and the procedure is pain free. The downtime is minimal; however patient may experience redness for 12 to 48 hours afterward.
Usually you will notice some improvement after the the first or second treatment. More significant results will occur after 4 to 6 treatments spaced 10-15 days apart. Collagen remodeling takes place over time. Skin will continue to improve over the next 6 to 12 months post COSMOPen treatments with proper skin care regimen. Results will vary in each patient.
